🌊 7-Day Lisbon Itinerary
Seven hills, pastéis de nata, and fado
Your 7-Day Lisbon Plan
A week in Lisbon means you can go at the city's natural pace — two Sintra trips for different palaces, a coastal day in Setúbal, and time to discover the newer creative neighbourhoods like Mouraria and LX Factory.
Day 1
Alfama and São Jorge Castle
Alfama morning, São Jorge Castle, evening Fado dinner.
Day 2
Belém Monuments
Jerónimos Monastery, Torre de Belém, MAAT, pastéis.
Day 3
Sintra — Pena and Regaleira
Pena Palace and Quinta da Regaleira in the same day — start early at Pena before the queues, lunch in Sintra village, Regaleira in the afternoon.
Day 4
Chiado and Bairro Alto
Chiado shopping and café culture, Bairro Alto bar scene in the evening.
Day 5
Cascais and Estoril Coast
Train along the Corniche to Cascais — beaches, cliffs, and the prettiest harbour on the Lisbon Riviera.
Day 6
Setúbal and Arrábida
Arrábida Natural Park has some of the most spectacular coastline in Western Europe — limestone cliffs dropping to turquoise water, accessible by car or organised tour from Lisbon. The beaches here are among Portugal's best.
Day 7
Mouraria and Intendente
Mouraria is Lisbon's oldest Moorish neighbourhood and most multicultural — the regenerated Intendente square has become a hub of creative restaurants and bars. Farewell dinner at one of the neighbourhood's Portuguese-African fusion restaurants.
